Orcan Energy expands Supervisory Board and creates sustainable structures for future growth

 

Munich, 02.03.2023 – Leading cleantech company Orcan Energy is pleased to announce the addition of four new experienced members to its Supervisory Board. The two independent mandate holders Ida Beerhalter and Astrid Rauchfuss as well as the shareholder representatives Stefano Ferrari (Generali Investments) and Nicolas Lepareur (TiLT Capital, Siparex Group) strengthen the board with immediate effect. The appointment of these experienced new Supervisory Board members represents a further important step toward sustainably positioning Orcan Energy AG for future growth.

Ida Beerhalter is an internationally recognized expert in wealth management and capital market access. She is co-chair of IOME, a private investment partnership of female wealth holders from the Gulf region, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In addition, the capital market expert manages her own investment portfolio. She also serves as an ambassador, board member, trustee, committee member, advisor and expert for several for-profit and non-profit organizations around the globe. In her various roles, she focuses in particular on business diplomacy, entrepreneurship, leadership, impact investment, as well as family governance and succession planning. Ida Beerhalter is involved with the United Nations’ University for Peace (UPEACE), the Auma Obama Foundation Sauti Kuu, Green Sands Equity, The Abrahamic Business Circle, KK Modi University, the Firstlight Trust, and Aescuvest, among others. In 2015, she was awarded the TIAW World of Difference Award.

Astrid Rauchfuss is an experienced management and strategy consultant with great expertise in the technology sector. She spent more than 20 years with the leading strategic management consulting firm Boston Consulting Group, most recently as Managing Director and Partner. She has extensive experience working with international technology companies with a primary focus on strategy development and execution, building digital capabilities, sales and market transformation, and scaling new business. Astrid Rauchfuss holds an MBA degree from INSEAD in Singapore and Fontainebleau and a master’s degree in Physics from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. She is a board member of Exeger, Neterra and of the Joblinge foundation.

To mark the closing of Orcan Energy’s recent financing round of EUR 28.5 million, the Supervisory Board is being joined by two additional shareholder representatives: Stefano Ferrari joins the board for Generali Investments and Nicolas Lepareur for TiLT Capital. The Supervisory Board now consists of the shareholder representatives Dr. Christian Reitberger (Chairman), Stefano Ferrari, Nicolas Lepareur, Greg Fleming, Daniel Joisten, Dr. Jörn van Halteren as well as the independent representatives Ida Beerhalter, Astrid Rauchfuss and Peter Edelmann.
